I started The Country Shed at my kitchen table 18 years ago as a stay at home mom with an infant and a 3 year old. I was desperate for a break from the everyday chores of being a stay at home mom with no adults to talk to all day, so I started painting and crafting as an outlet. I quickly ran out of room to store my creations and was not sure what to do next, then one day, I wandered into a local gift shop that featured many different handmade items from local people. I inquired at the counter as to whether the owner would be interested in seeing my creations, she was, and that is how I began selling, and also gained a life long friend and mentor. Ever since, my items have grown in popularity locally among my friends and neighbors and their friends. I love painting, and re-purposing items to make something I absolutely fall in love with.
